Stories of kids lives transformed by New Day

Above are a handful of the life stories of New Mexico’s homeless children who were helped by New Day.

The group photo was taken at New Day to kickoff of their annual Day of Giving… which is more like a week of giving.

Saturday, July 29 is our day. There will be two radio remotes broadcasting live from West Downtown. The first one between 10am and noon at Duran’s parking lot, and the second one between 5pm and 7pm at the patio between 5 Star and Amore.

Please come by to support this worthy cause that helps so many homeless children in New Mexico.

Background: For over 40 years, New Day has provided safe housing, individual support, educational and employment opportunities to Albuquerque’s homeless and troubled teens.  Without New Day’s support, these young people often find the path to a life of dependency, exploitation, criminality and abuse.

When you shop or eat in West Downtown now through July 29th, you’re not only supporting local businesses, you’re helping our community’s most precious and vulnerable members, our youth. Our future. West Downtown businesses have pledged to donate $25,000 to New Day.
